Marsha Stein's dynamic presentations and her 40 years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist and certified trainer have resulted in a proven track record of engaging and motivating any audience. Her background in group dynamics and communication strategies provide unique perspectives on stress management, knowledge sharing, diversity, conflict resolution, presentation skills, and boosting communication IQ. She is also certified as a critical incident responder and is brought into the workplace to administer psychological first aid to survivors of crisis. She holds many additional certifications including MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) and Immunity to Change (Harvard University).
A former adjunct professor at Catholic University, she designs low-risk learning environments yielding high rewards in the field. Her signature as a trainer is using practical exercises to take training concepts off the page to address real time situations. She has published in The American Journal of Group Psychotherapy and on line at LINK 1 and LINK 2. Her work has also been featured on NPR and in The Washington Post covering her training of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Dept. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The George Washington University and completed her clinical graduate work at Catholic University.
Charlyne “Chuck” Miller has an extensive 25 year background in organizational leadership as a consultant, facilitator and executive coach. Her clients number in the thousands across a wide variety of industries, firms and government organization both in the U.S. and Europe. She integrates cutting edge learnings of the neuroscience of leadership with practical business experience to advance the effectiveness of her clients to help them solve problems, build collaborative partnerships, and achieve tangible results.
Chuck specifically focuses on the practical applications of leadership such as building strategic and critical relationships, managing change and transitions, leveraging diversity, building high capacity teams, communicating effectively, enhancing personal style and increasing resilience.
Formerly, Chuck served as Senior Advisor of Training & Organizational Effectiveness at Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac). She also served on the national training staff of the American Red Cross where she was a manager and faculty member of the National Training Institute.
Chuck received both undergraduate and graduate degrees (B.S. and M.S.) from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is a graduate of the organization development program of Georgetown University, is MBTI certified and an internationally certified coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She holds many additional program and assessment certifications including Voices 360, Leadership Circles 360, Immunity to Change (Harvard University) and Managing Transitions (William Bridges).
Catherine D. Nugent is a licensed clinical professional counselor. For 20 years, she worked with the U.S. Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration, including serving as the Branch Chief for Quality Improvement & Workforce Development Branch. With George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership, she has conducted leadership development training with special emphasis on adult learning and experiential training methods. She has trained health and human service organizations on diversity, communication and conflict resolution skills, team-building and community organizing. She is also currently an adjunct faculty member with The Johns Hopkins University. She recently published in the International Journal of Human Development, Disability, and Social Change as well as several other journals.
Mary Kemmer has over 20 years of Human Resource management and consulting experience. She has held management and executive Human Resource positions with Pillsbury, Rockwell International, First Chicago and Marriott International. She is currently Director of Coaching and Professional Development for Baker Tilly, LLP, working primarily in the areas of executive and leadership development.
She is certified in numerous 360 multi-rater assessment instruments including, Executive Dimensions, Benchmarks, and Skillscope. She is also certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Emotional Intelligence. Mary has facilitated change management projects around mergers, acquisitions and downsizing. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BS in Psychology.
